Hacienda Betulia is the first BAP (Best Agricultural Practices) certified cocoa plantation in Antioquia. It was awarded as the most innovative cacao farm in 2018 in Colombia by FEDERACION NACIONAL DE CACAOTEROS.

B6 CRIOLLO CACAO BEAN reveals a complex range of nicely balanced flavors, from sweet berries to hazelnut and fruity, creamy yogurt. It represents the best solution for the creation of all kinds of gourmet chocolate products. It is also called "Berry" for its creaminess, nutty-sweet acidic aroma, and melon, berry, hazelnut, sparkling, fresh flower, and fruity yogurt tasting notes.

Flavor profile: honeydew melon, pink peppercorn, dried goji berries, hazelnut, toasted almond, acacia honey, orange blossom, rose water, soft yet pungent lavender finish (woody, a hint of dry mint, earthy, smoky, green apple crispy mouthfeel), mineral sparkling water aftertaste strongly marked on the tip of the tongue. The confrontation of flavors simmered down regressing to a mouthwatering film of rose infused caramel brittle and pink peppercorn biting sensations. I did not find it very acidic, I would say berry soy yogurt undertones.

Complex and unorthodox, to say the least.

Thank you Kay for giving me the chance to try your products experiencing unique cacao variety/origin!
