Ingredients: cocoa beans, organic cane sugar, organic cocoa butter, cardamom.
Rozsavolgy is a suburban part of Budapest where husband and wife, Zsolt Szabad and Katalin Csiszar, started their bean to bar project in 2004.
They consider themselves as an artist bean to bar chocolate maker. Indeed their approach to chocolate is like a material art that can surprise and entertain their costumers during the tasting experience.
The packaging and the mold are so glamorous. Very representative of the decadent deep chocolate taste. The Venezuelan cacao beans flavor profile blends perfectly with the cardamom seeds taste.
Shining brown color, sharp snap on the edge, striking cardamom aroma softened by floral nuances. The bar has a rich buttery texture, chocolate pudding-like, which somehow balances the strong cardamom notes creating a harmonious tasting experience. It is smooth with some sparse graininess. The spicy, floral, nutty, cocoa and bitter flavors of the Venezuelan Trinitario variety provide the very best chocolate frame for the fragrant taste of this special spice. The cardamom has a pungent aroma and a warm spicy-sweet taste: citrusy, spicy, minty, and herbal aromatic profile. But in this case, it adds sweet citrus and spicy gusto and, in the end, some herbal notes. The bitterness with a hint of sourness finish develops in biting cardamom zest. Yum!
