Bourbon Vanilla is one of the most expensive spices in the world. Depending on the year, this type of vanilla can range from 200$ to 400$ per pound.
Ritual chocolate maker combines whole vanilla beans from Madagascar with their MIld Mountain Blend chocolate.
The snap is sharp. The scents are rich and warm: easter-egg like. What I love about this bar is that the nose is the opposite of the palate. The blend they use has some kind of fruitness like dried-strawberry/fresh-cherries which creates a lovely juicy contrast with the sweet, creamy, and mellow notes of the vanilla bourbon Madagascar. I don` t find any bitterness or astringency. The aftertaste is short though: persistent red fruits aroma at the bottom of your throat and velvety vanilla undertones all over your palate. Another mouthwatering bar!
Just think about a beautiful neapolitan trifle with extra chocolate layers or a rich black forest gateau cake! Are you in the mood to try this bar now?
