This bar is made of rare, wild Beniano cacao beans from the Beni River in Bolivia.
They are famous for their tiny size, for which they were at first underestimated by bean to bar chocolate makers. Indeed this relevant difference from other varieties was perceived as a sign of poor quality.
Surely, it must be expensive to work with this extremely unique natural resource due to the subsequent machinery adaptation to apply. But I must say, it is worth the price in every way!
From the beginning of the tasting experience till the end, it exhibits deliciously fudgy mouthfeel and chewy brownie-like flavor with sophisticated sweet glycyrrhizin licorice undertones.
